Tell us about yourself:
I have been overweight basically all my life. I wasn’t the most active child growing up cause I’ve never been a big fan of playing sports except dance until I was 8. My weight was never under control but it never really affected me. I luckily was never bullied due to my weight. Even after high school, my weight just kept going up. In my early 20s, there was a lot of drinking and late nights which led to my biggest size. On an off, I did try to get healthy, exercise and lose weight but nothing ever stuck. One day, I decided to look at weight loss accounts on Instagram and got inspired. I still struggled a lot after that since I did manage to lose some weight but gained it all back. It’s not until I found a ketogenic diet that I finally found what works for me and helps me stay on track and not binge eat. Now I feel like I have more control over my food choices and exercise. I do want to be active and healthy to have a better future. I want kids in the future and want to be a good influence on them and be able to keep up with them.

299.0lbs. Lost 48lbs so far.
What is the biggest difficulty you had on your personal journey?
Staying motivated and sticking to a routine
What achievement are you most proud of in your journey?
The amount of confidence gained and how much more comfortable I am in my own skin.
What is your favorite fitness exercise or training?
I love doing stiff leg deadlifts on leg days. I also enjoy doing cardio intervals on the cross-trainer machine.
What is your favorite healthy meal?
I don’t have a favorite healthy meal but I usually always stick to the same food. I love cabbage stir fry (eggroll in a bowl) and I love Brussel sprouts!
What is your morning routine?
I usually wake up around 7 am and eventually make my way to the gym for my workout. When I wake up I take my vitamins and get ready. I walk to and from the gym which is about a 10mins walk. After I’m done my workout, I go back home to shower, have coffee and get ready for my workday.
What is your evening routine?
I work late evenings so I only get home close to 10 pm so I don’t have much time. I’ll usually have a snack if I’m hungry, watch some tv and go to bed to be able to get between 7-8hrs of sleep.
What are your top 3 tips you would recommend to others?
Find what works for you whether it’s diet or exercise. We don’t all have the same needs. -Not everyone will support you or care so surround yourself with positivity to keep you going. -Take as many pictures as you can during your journey! The scale doesn’t always show your hard work!
